Tonight’s topic: Filter Forge
by Tony Mistretta
This presentation will explore the use and capabilities of Filter Forge 3.0, a Photoshop Plug-in that allows users to build their own filters or use any of about 4,500 filters that have been created by others. I have been using Filter Forge for almost two years now, and have found it to be useful for creating effects that I cannot find anywhere else. I will demonstrate the use of filters in the library and show some of my images that have been successfully modified with Filter Forge.

Occasionally, one of the other local camera clubs schedules an interesting event on our regular meeting night. When this happens, we plan to join them instead of scheduling a conflicting meeting. If there’s any interest, we can get together for dinner or a snack after the presentation.
The Newton Camera Club and the Boston Camera Club invite you to join them on November 25th at the Newton Free Library for An Evening with Damian Strohmeyer. This program is free to the public and will run from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the library’s Druker Auditorium.

Our annual NELP holiday dinner will be Monday, January 13, 2014 at 6:30 pm, at the Lotus Flower restaurant in Framingham (near Walmart). They have an excellent dinner buffet ($16.95), or you can order exactly what you’d like from the menu. They have a great bar too, with a selection of delicious drinks.
If you can’t make it at 6:30, it is ok to arrive a bit later. The buffet is open until 8:30. If you’d like to join us, please let me know so I can reserve enough seats. I’ll call in a count on Sunday, with a few extras for walk-ins. I initially reserved a table for 12.
See you then!
