{"id":523,"date":"2017-01-19T22:11:02","date_gmt":"2017-01-20T03:11:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.nelightpainters.org\/?p=523"},"modified":"2017-01-19T22:11:02","modified_gmt":"2017-01-20T03:11:02","slug":"upcoming-exhibit-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.nelightpainters.org\/?p=523","title":{"rendered":"Upcoming Exhibit: \u201cOpen\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Natick Community Senior Center<br \/>\nNew England Light Painters<br \/>\nGroup Show<br \/>\nMarch-April 2017<\/p>\n<p>All members of New England Light Painters (NELP) and other local photographers are invited to<br \/>\nsubmit their work for this special group exhibit at the Natick Community Senior Center.<br \/>\nThe theme is \u201cOpen,\u201d meaning you are welcome to submit the images of your choice.<br \/>\nBoth conventional photographs and manipulated creative photographs are welcome. We would<br \/>\nlike to feature multiple works per artist, so consider submitting works of a similar sub-theme or<br \/>\ngrouping. Also, keep in mind this is a public venue so please use discretion when selecting<br \/>\nyour subject matter for submission.<\/p>\n<p>Your submission for judging will be by email. Images must be in JPG format, no larger than<br \/>\n1200 pixels wide\/high. File size must be under 500KB (use sufficient compression). Your<br \/>\nimage file name should be in the format:<\/p>\n<p>&lt;YourName&gt;-&lt;ImageTitle&gt;-#W-#H-&lt;Price&gt;.jpg.<\/p>\n<p>The #W and #H are the width and height of the framed photograph (including the frame), in<br \/>\ninches; price in whole dollars (no cents) or NFS if print is not for sale. For example,<br \/>\nJohnPublic-MyPiano-20W-16H-175.jpg would be a valid file name.<\/p>\n<p>Submit your images by email to Virge Lorents at virge.lorents [at] gmail.com .<\/p>\n<p>All accepted photographs submitted for hanging must be framed and wired (no sawtooth).<br \/>\nPlease make sure your framed artwork is labeled with your name, preferred contact information\u00a0(email and\/or phone number), artwork title and price, and make sure the exhibit organizer has\u00a0all of this information. We will prepare labels for each piece with this information, and an exhibit\u00a0price list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each artist may submit up to five (5) images by email for judging (no fee).<\/li>\n<li>All work submitted for hanging must be framed and wired (no sawtooth).<\/li>\n<li>Interested parties will contact you directly if they are interested in purchasing your work.<\/li>\n<li>Sold work must remain at the Natick Community Senior Center for the duration of the<\/li>\n<li>exhibit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Natick Community-Senior Center and the Town of Natick don\u2019t carry any insurance<br \/>\nfor displayed artwork. NELP is not responsible for any artwork.<br \/>\nSchedule summary:<\/p>\n<p>2\/1\/17 (5 pm) &#8211; Images for judging due by email to virge.lorents [at] gmail.com. If you don\u2019t receive\u00a0a confirmation email within 24 hours of submission, please follow up with Virge.<\/p>\n<p>2\/7\/17- Artists notified of images selected.\u00a0The show will hang during March and April. Dates of delivery and pick-up will be announced.
